Justin Wissink has completed a couple of practice/guide track recording sessions on a ten-song CD release, and today three additional musicians added bass, electric and drums on four of the songs. They’re all off to a good start and very excited about hearing it all come together. More to come including some session pics shortly.

Justin Michael Finishes Song For Collection Release
Justin Michael (Nordstrom) gathered some musicians around his latest song “I Choose”, and with a good amount of time and effort on everyone’s part the tune was released last week. The song is fairly complex with all the parts put into it, but the end result is quite captivating and carries a strong, clear message about the most significant choice we can make. A video was shot of the recording process and is available on youtube. You can see more pics of the sessions in our photo gallery. Well done. We’re looking forward to more tunes down the road from Justin Michael Music.
The Octogenarians Still Harmonizing In Their 80s

This week I had the opportunity to record a very unusual group, “The Octogenarians” – a longtime barbershop quartet that wanted to record several songs while everyone was still able. And why would that be? Well as the youngest member stated, “My age brings the average down to 83”. With only one member under 80 and one at 89, they’re still singing those tight harmonies so characteristic of the barbershop style, and they mix in a high dose of humor along the way. I hope I can still get around at that age, let alone carry a tune. Sing on!
